Operation Horse against drug trafficking has concluded in Lanzarote with 11 detainees and the seizure of 1,200 grams of amphetamines, one of the largest quantities seized in recent times, 503 of cocaine and more than 30 kilos of hashish.

They have also been intervened 5 vehicles, jewelry and 42,800 euros in cash, linked to 7 men and 4 women, aged between 20 and 52, four of them with police records who have been arrested in the towns of Caleta de Caballo, Playa Honda and Matagorda.

This drug trafficking network was discovered after a police investigation, since the high standard of living worn by the members, without any type of work activity, and the transfer of people around certain points raised suspicions from your neighbors.

The agents of the National Police of the Local Police Station of Arrecife have detained these 11 people as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime after investigating its activity closely since early summer. It was then that the National Police received several complaints through citizen participation channels that revealed a series of drug outlets in the towns of Caleta de Caballo and Matagorda (Puerto del Carmen).

The police investigations made it possible to identify a third address located in Playa Honda, from which other members of the group sold narcotic substances.

With the mandatory court order, they carried out records in the three addresses where 1,200 grams of amphetamine, 503 grams of cocaine, more than 30 kilos of hashish, five vehicles, jewelry and 42,800 euros in cash were seized.
