The Valencian government announced this Tuesday the new coronavirus restrictions that will come into force this Thursday, July 1 in autonomy. As expected, and as ABC had announced, there have been no major changes.
In fact, the Valencian Government has maintained all current limitations and has only included two novelties: adapt the previous resolution to the new state regulation for the use of outdoor masks and make the opening of the party venues and venues more flexible.
[Ximo Puig contradice al Gobierno y recomienda oficialmente usar la mascarilla por la calle]
This was announced this Tuesday by the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, and the Minister of Health, Ana Barcelo, after the meeting of the Interdepartmental Table for Prevention and Action against Covid-19.
The restrictions, however, will only be in effect for the next two weeks, until July 15 included, to analyze the evolution of the pandemic of the coronavirus, which is rebounding dangerously in autonomy, especially with infections among the young population.
In this sense, Puig has specified that, in the last 48 hours, the 52 percent of the infections detected are
young people from 15 to 29 years old and, although many of them are asymptomatic, there are currently 20 young people under 34 years of age admitted and one in the ICU. Furthermore, the cumulative incidence in this age group reaches 172 cases per 100,000 inhabitants; while in general in the autonomy it has risen to 75 infected per 100,000 inhabitants.
These are the coronavirus restrictions that will come into force on July 1 in the Valencian Community:
Use of mask
The resolution of the Ministry will conform to state standard to make the use of a mask more flexible in outdoor spaces when there is a minimum distance of 1.5 meters.
However, Ana Barceló’s department It will include the recommendation of the use of the mask outdoors, except in natural areas and on the beaches if there is distance. For this reason, it has prepared a guide with basic indications to keep interior spaces ventilated, which can be consulted on the website and which will be distributed by places such as shops, hotels, bars, restaurants, cinemas, theaters or museums.
Festive and wedding venues
The fallero houses and the rest of the festive venues will reopen without activity restriction and without hours opening and closing, which must be regulated by the town councils. In this way, it will be allowed to consume food and drink in these places following the rules that apply to hospitality premises, such as capacity restrictions and the closing of bars.
For the rest of activities, such as administrative tasks, the capacity of 75% is maintained.
Bars and restaurants
The hotel and restaurant establishments will maintain their closing time at one in the morning. The capacity will be fifty percent indoors, with 2 meters of distance between tables; while on the terraces there will be full capacity with 1.5 meters between tables. The use of the bar is prohibited and each table will have a maximum of ten people.
Discos, dance halls and other nightlife venues must close at two in the morning. The capacity limitations of fifty percent in the interior are maintained -with 2 meters of distance between tables and a maximum of six people in each one of them- and total capacity in terraces -with ten people per table and 1.5 meters of distance-. Dancing is still prohibited.
The new resolution will maintain the smoking ban on public roads, on the terraces of bars, restaurants or nightlife venues when customers are not consuming. In addition, it will also be prohibited on beaches or other outdoor spaces, when the minimum interpersonal distance of a minimum of two meters cannot be respected.
It will also continue to be prohibited to use any other inhalation device for tobacco, water pipes, hookahs or similar, including electronic cigarettes or vaping in outdoor or closed spaces.
Wakes and burials
The capacity of the velatorios will continue to be limited to fifty percent and a maximum of 50 people in outdoor spaces and 25 people in closed spaces, whether or not they are living together, guaranteeing interpersonal distance. Likewise, it will be limited to the same number of people in the entourage for burial or dismissal for cremation of the deceased person -50 people outdoors and 25 indoors.
People will be able to carry out physical and sports activity in groups of maximum ten people in closed facilities -both by free as directed by a professional- and the use of the mask will be mandatory. Outdoors or in open facilities, the mask will not be mandatory and up to twenty people may gather.
In the closed sports facilities, the maximum capacity allowed is 50 percent, the same for changing rooms and showers. In the pools it is expanded up to 75 percent.
