The Valencian Community faces the weekend with new restrictions due to coronavirus that will last until Friday, October 8. The Generalitat expects that on Saturday, the 9th and the regional holiday, the region will return to a scenario that looks more like pre-pandemic normality, after the vast majority of measures and time limitations have declined.

All this after reducing the risk of contagion to a low level, with an incidence of 45 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants, 170 people in hospitals and almost four million vaccinated with the full schedule, 80% of the total population.

Below we detail the main limitations in force in the three provinces.

Bars and restaurants

The hotel and restaurant establishments must close at the time assigned in their license, with tables for up to ten people -separated by 1.5 meters- and a capacity reduced to 75% indoors. Smoking is prohibited, but the use of the bar is allowed to withdraw drinks and for seated consumption.

Mask dancing is allowed without consuming drinks in the same space where each client is located, as well as municipal performances, DJs and karaoke.

Pubs and nightclubs

Nightlife may open until five in the morning in the same conditions as the hospitality industry and with the dance floors closed.

Sale of alcohol

Alcohol consumption on public roads is prohibited 24 hours a day. Its sale is also prohibited between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day, in all types of retail establishments, except those in which the sale of alcoholic beverages is intended for consumption on the premises.

Ceremonies, funerals and funerals

Wakes and burials, as well as non-religious ceremonies, can be held in all types of facilities with a capacity limited to 75% in closed spaces and 100% in open spaces.

Sport

In closed sports facilities and in swimming pools the maximum capacity allowed is 75%, the same as in the changing rooms and showers.

The capacity of public maximum is 50% in closed spaces and 75% in open spaces, maintaining a seat distance in the same row or 1.5 meters apart if there are no fixed seats, except for cohabitants.

Culture

In the cinemas, theaters or auditoriums, in the cases of consumption of food and drink in the room, it is necessary to leave a seat free of distance in the same row between people or group of people who do not live together. Outside of this assumption, the capacity is 100%.

Masks

Those over six years of age are obliged to use masks in any closed space –including transport vehicles– for public use or that is open to the public and in those outdoors where the safety distance of 1.5 meters cannot be kept.

Although it is no longer mandatory outdoors, the Generalitat recommends its use in urban environments, except on beaches and natural spaces.

Smoke

You can not smoke on public roads, terraces, beaches or other outdoor spaces, when you cannot respect the minimum interpersonal distance of, at least, of meters. This limitation will also apply to the use of any other tobacco inhalation device, water pipes, hookahs or similar, including electronic cigarettes or vaping in outdoor or closed spaces.
