First corona warning level reached in Hesse

WHow many corona patients are currently in intensive care units in Hessian clinics? The answer to this question is significant given the surge in numbers over the past few days. The first warning level would be reached in 200 intensive care patients. And as the FAZ found out, that is also the case. On Monday, the Ministry of Social Affairs recorded 180 in its daily Corona update, reported 186 on Wednesday and the FAZ 198 on Thursday.

The ministry also mentions this number in its update on Friday – but with the date November 4, 11 a.m. From 200 intensely treated Covid-19 patients, the state government must adopt stricter protective regulations. She gave herself this condition. On Monday, the cabinet now wants to create clarity, as it is called in Wiesbaden.

The increase in the past few days already suggested that the 200 mark had been reached or exceeded. Especially since a rising incidence in the past has always led to an increase in the number of patients in intensive care and normal wards. The country will not comment on this on Friday. The German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, in turn, identifies 191 corona patients in intensive care units in Hesse. 80 of them are therefore artificially ventilated. In the past, however, the country had often given higher numbers than the association called Divi.

This is the highest value since this second central benchmark was announced. The threshold, which requires more stringent requirements from the state, is 8.
