Ingolstadt – The electronics retailer MediaMarktSaturn was the target of a cyber attack from Sunday to Monday. The company immediately informed the responsible authorities, said a spokesman for the MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group in Ingolstadt on request. All national subsidiaries of MediaMarktSaturn are affected. In the stationary markets there could currently be a limited service for some services. “The web shops are currently not directly affected by the attack,” emphasized the company. There is currently no need for action for customers.

They are working flat out to identify the affected systems and to fix any damage as quickly as possible, it said. MediaMarktSaturn is still there for its customers on all sales channels. The group, which belongs to the Ceconomy Group, operates a total of around 1000 stores of the “Media Markt” and “Saturn” chains in 13 European countries. (dpa)
