Mercadona and other supermarkets in Madrid business hours for Almudena day

After the bridge of Todos los Santos, another one returns, but only for a few. Madrid celebrate the next November 9 the day of its patron saint, the virgin of the Almudena, its second big day after May 15, so it will be a holiday in the capital and some small municipalities. Thus, on Tuesday some establishments could change your schedules, as it is a local holiday and therefore a non-working day.

Mercadona

As usual, the Valencian chain owned by Juan Roig, will not open on November 9, due to its policy of not opening on holidays. It will not open on Sunday either, but it will open on the 9th in its usual hours from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The English Court

The big stores they will not alter their schedules so its doors will remain open on November 9. Its supermarkets, like those of Supercor and Hipercor, will open as if it were a Sunday: from 11 am to 9 pm.

Carrefour

As a general rule, all Carrefour establishments will open their doors during the day of the Almudena. However, the hours may depend on each center and some of them may only open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Lidl

The hours of the German chain are usually very variable and depend a lot on the premises and their locations. Thus, on November 9, Lidl supermarkets will open in their usual hoursBut some will only do it until lunchtime. It is advisable to check the schedule before going.

Aldi

As a general rule, Aldi supermarkets are always open on holidays that fall on weekdays, which is why, initially, all the Madrid establishments of the German cadela will open at their usual opening hours. 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m..

Day

The chain does not usually close on holidays so its establishments will remain open during the Almudena day in Madrid. Their schedules will remain stable in the band from 8.30 am to 11.00 pm.

In Madrid the Alcampo supermarkets will remain open but your hours will vary and you can go as if it were any other Sunday.
