Lockdown from November 17th? That’s what the Federal Chancellery says

Among other things, via Whatsapp – without naming sources – it was spread that a lockdown with closed bars and nightly exit restrictions would apply from November 17, 2021. These claims “are false and unfounded”, stressed the Chancellery to the APA.

Federal Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg (ÖVP) had declared last Friday that they did not want a lockdown for “protected” people, i.e. those vaccinated against Corona. The government’s step-by-step plan provides for exit restrictions for unvaccinated people with an intensive care bed occupancy of 600 or more. The government hopes that the 2G rule that is now in force will allow more people to be vaccinated than before in many areas.
