According to a template, the access rules planned by the traffic light parties only for vaccinated, convalescent and tested people in public transport are to be checked “randomly”. Schoolchildren should be excluded.

DThe access rules planned by the SPD, FDP and the Greens only for vaccinated, convalescent and tested people (3G) in means of transport are to be checked according to a template according to a “random sample”. Carriers should be obliged to monitor this through appropriate verification checks, according to the submission for the deliberation of the legislative plans in the main committee of the Bundestag on Tuesday evening.

Passengers would then have to be able to show proof that they have been completely vaccinated against the coronavirus, have recovered or that they have been tested negative for a maximum of 24 hours. The committee template was available to the German Press Agency.

The 3G rule should therefore apply in local public transport with buses and trains, in long-distance public transport with ICE and Intercity as well as for air traffic. Schoolchildren and transportation in taxis should be excluded.

According to the submission, the obligation to wear an FFP2 mask or medical face mask during transport should also be stipulated. This does not apply to children under six years of age. The guidelines for the use of the means of transport should also apply to the control and service personnel.
