“The fourth wave hit us completely”: Berlin is preparing the 2G-Plus scheme

Berlin is preparing to introduce a 2G Plus scheme.

Berlin – The Senate wants to adopt a corresponding regulation in the coming week, as Berlin’s Governing Mayor Michael Müller (SPD) announced on Tuesday after a Senate meeting. “The fourth wave hit us completely,” said Müller. How exactly the regulation is then applied can be chosen by cultural institutions or event organizers.

According to Müller, 2G-Plus could mean, for example, that only vaccinated and convalescent people would have access and still have to wear a mask, that 2G would prevail and that additional distances would be maintained or that an additional test would have to be submitted.

Müller also spoke out in favor of state opening clauses with a view to the Prime Minister’s Conference taking place on Thursday. The federal states need instruments with which they can independently implement further measures such as alcohol bans or contact restrictions.
