Raíz Culinaria will promote the essence of Castilla-La Mancha cuisine at Fitur

The gastronomic hallmark of Castilla-La Mancha Culinary Roots will be present from January 19 to 23 at the International fair of tourism (Fitur) to promote the essence of Castilian-La Mancha cuisine through ‘showcookings’, product tastings and wine tastings from regional denominations of origin.

The presence of gastronomy from the hand of the Raíz Culinaria brand will be one of the axes on which the participation of Castilla-La Mancha in Fitur will be based in this edition, as reported by the Board in a press release.

Hand in hand with chefs who are ambassadors of the brand, different actions will be carried out to publicize the gastronomy and the product of differentiated quality.

A total of 12 showcookings will be held with prestigious chefs from Castilla-La Mancha, such as the recent winner of a Michelin Star, Jose Antonio Medina, from the Coto de Quevedo Restaurant, who on January 19 at 11:30 a.m. will demonstrate to the public the virtues that have led him to obtain recognition from the Michelin Guide.

Raíz Culinaria wants to give visibility to the increased presence of women in the gastronomic sector with demonstrations by the renowned chefs Teresa Gutiérrez, Laura Macías and Mari Carmen Giménez, as well as the prestigious pastry chefs Rocío Arroyo and the winner of the Revelation Pastry Award. in Madrid Fusion 2021, Fatima Gismero.

As a novelty, this year there will be a wine tasting every day by the two associations of Sommeliers of Castilla La-Mancha, Asuman and the Association of Sommeliers and friends of wine. The wine tastings will be of different references that will cover the regional appellations of origin and different recognized wineries in the region.

Similarly, there will be the presence of the Masterchef 9 finalists María Morales and Fran Martínez. Both, ambassadors of Castilian-La Mancha gastronomy, will carry out a cooking show with some of their most outstanding dishes from their time on the television cooking contest.

In this edition, the five Hospitality Associations of Castilla-La Mancha region will be in charge of offering the Gastronomic Show, a space where you can taste typical tapas made with Castilian-Manchego products every day from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In addition, every day, in the business area of ​​the stand, you can taste the most typical products of the region.

During the five days of the fair there will be showcookings, tastings, product tastings, pastry showcooking and presentations, in what will be the starting point of a year that will put regional gastronomy in the spotlight, with multiple gastronomic actions throughout the region and nationally.
