Page inaugurates the ‘Harévolar’ institute in Alovera

The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, inaugurated this Monday in Alovera the IESO ‘Harévolar’, an institute “with a soul” that combines “quality and warmth”. Page recalled that 40 years ago, when the Statute of Autonomy was approved, the autonomous community had «340 educational centers less» and the 2,500 sports facilities linked to these centers did not exist either.

“Some are upset to see the project that has been present in this region these 40 years, except for a small part. What I know is that when time passes, the tendencies and constancies of societies and their projects are demonstrated. I opened with a terrifying piece of information: that Castilla-La Mancha was the region in which the most educational centers had been closed and staff laid off; today we are breaking the record for hiring personnel, expanding public centers and developing technology and, of course, in school transportation, scholarships and book grants”, he highlighted.

This institute is located in the Corredor del Henares, which is “an entire metropolitan area, a macro-city with different municipalities” and “one of the most important growth poles in Spain as a whole, together with the northern belt of the province of Toledo », since the Community of Madrid «has been overflowing for a long time».

In this sense, relations between Castilla-La Mancha and the Community of Madrid go “far beyond ideological codes and administrative borders.” “There are many things on which we agree and, surely, it will even be necessary to advance in a territorial model that links us better in infrastructures and industrial and residential developments”, he considers.

Meanwhile, the mayor, María Purificación Tortuero, recalled that it has been “a long wait, desired and longed for like few other topics in Alovera.” «The road has not been easy, and especially for a whole batch of young people who have not had their high school. We feel in some way that we have also deprived them of something to which they were entitled,” he insisted.

Finally, Tortuero has asked Page that Alovera be the seat of an itinerant Government Council of the Junta de Castilla-La Mancha, since the issues that most concern the residents are, above all, those related to the community. The main is that the municipality does not have a health center. “It is important that we respond loyally to the needs of the residents of Alovera,” he claimed.

New institute in Yebes

On the other hand, the Government Council of Castilla-La Mancha will approve several educational projects on Tuesday, such as a new institute in Yebes, the “transformation” of the ‘Maestra Teodora’ school in Marchamalo or actions at the Olías del Rey institute. Page has assured that this year there will be 171 educational investment actions throughout the region, of which 12 will be made in the province of Guadalajara.

They are “absolutely historical” data, in which Castilla-La Mancha is going to “break the record” of spending per student, with an educational population “growing above the average for the rest of Spain” and that, in addition, is “attending to special needs that go far beyond the common needs of the rest of the students».
