The head of the association of doctors in the public health service, Ute Teichert, becomes a pandemic manager in the Federal Ministry of Health.
Berlin – He was glad to have found Teichert for this post, said Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) to the newspapers of the Funke media group. Teichert is the voice of the public health service and thus represents those who do enormous things every day in the fight against the pandemic.
You know the practice and the problems on site, said Lauterbach. “Your technically well-founded assessment of the situation will help us to continue our way out of the pandemic with the necessary caution.” The minister also announced that he would also bring other experts from the field into his ministry.
Teichert had repeatedly complained in the past few months that the health authorities had too little support. She takes over the health protection, health safety and sustainability department in Lauterbach’s department.
