Edtstadler enthusiastic – lively crowds at the “Key Day” campaign in the Chancellery

While the chancellor and health minister announced the latest relaxation of the corona virus next door, around 100 young people a few rooms away awaited their immunization at noon on Saturday. Because Chancellor Minister Karoline Edtstadler (ÖVP) had asked Tiktok users to be vaccinated at the seat of government. The so-called “key date” was supported by Vienna’s City Councilor for Health Peter Hacker (SPÖ), who also paid a visit to the campaign.

The initiative had its origins in a rather slippery post by a user towards Edtstadler, who then invited him to the chancellery for vaccination. However, the young man lost his courage, but other users showed their interest in immunization at Ballhausplatz. Edtstadler thus stamped an action out of the ground, aimed primarily at the young audience, the hacker asked for support agreed in “milliseconds”. Action positive through and through. Unfortunately, the vaccination rate among young people in Austria is still too low, said Edtstadler: “Each of us is called upon to promote vaccination in our environment; in a personal conversation and within the scope of his possibilities. ”She is pleased that so many have come to the Federal Chancellery today. Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) also paid a spontaneous visit to the vaccination campaign in the Chancellery. He was pleased that so many people came to the Federal Chancellery for the campaign and once again describes the vaccination as “our protective shield. It protects us from serious illnesses and it protects our health system from overload.” Anyone who picked up their stitch was also rewarded with a donut – with an integrated syringe.
