New details – Pact with the Greens: ORF job against headscarf ban

It was only a few pages that saw the light of day on Friday evening – but they speak volumes about the way parties in this country divide up public top jobs. In the secret supplementary agreements to the respective government program, it was clearly regulated which party may occupy which posts, from the EU Commissioner to the Administrative Court. The job secret pact between the ÖVP and the FPÖ, which has actually been officially railing against the party book economy for decades, also provided for the end of the ORF fees. The fact that these “side letters”, as they are called in political parlance, became public at all is probably due to the ÖVP U-Committee, in which the turquoise-blue paper appeared.
