The Regional Government has approved the concession and payment of the aid to fighting cattle provided for in the extraordinary Covid-19 measures for 2020, for a total amount of 750.000 euros, and that will be distributed among 42 farms in Navarra who have applied for help and meet all the requirements.
The payment to the 42 holders will be made with a charge to the specific item «COVID-19. Aid to the agricultural sector », With funds from the Provincial Government, it has informed this in a note.
The beneficiaries of this aid are breeders who own fighting cattle farms, located in Navarra and registered in the General Register of Livestock Farms (REGA) with a unit amount per animal older than 8 months, being eligible animals the average number of fighting breed animals, as well as the tame or halters present on four dates: January 1, February 1, March 1 and 30 April 2020.
Older than eight months
The verification of the eligible animals has been carried out in SIMOGAN (Livestock Movement System), with the animals entitled to payment being the average number of bullfighting cattle. older than 8 months of age Let them be: female fighting, more male fighting, more castrated male fighting and male and castrated pronghorn, present on the four indicated dates. The minimum number of eligible animals is 10 and the aid per beneficiary does not exceed 100.000 euros.
According to the resolution, the total number of eligible animals of the 42 applications is 8.996, the unit amount per animal is 90 euros and depending on the aid budget, the corresponding prioritization criteria have been applied.
On the other hand, the General Directorate of Agriculture and Livestock has also signed the concession and payment of the aid intended to compensate for the difficulties of collecting milk in high mountain beef farms, and areas with special difficulty, under the minimum regime in 2020.
The total aid granted is 159.000 euros, with charge to the specific item for it of the Budgets of the Department, and the beneficiary companies that buy cow’s milk are two.
Both have signed collection contracts with livestock farms located in the aforementioned high mountain areas or with particular difficulty, which, in this way, have guaranteed the collection of the milk they produce.
