The Louis Erard X Alain Silberstein Regulator
Beneath its playful appearance, this limited edition of 178 pieces hides a regulator with exclusive caliber produced for Louis Erard, a complication that separates the indications of hours, minutes and seconds to gain chronometric precision. Louis Erard has made it a mainstay of his collections since the relaunch of the house in 2003.
For Alain Silberstein, a French watchmaker inspired by the modern artists of the Bauhaus style who designed their watches in unusual colors and shapes, the regulator is the centerpiece, around which he has employed his usual stylistics: the hour hand is a huge red triangle and the seconds are indicated by a serpentine hand while the colors follow the elemental spectrum of the Bauhaus: blue, red and yellow.
