The vice president of General Affairs, Employment, Sports and Tourism Promotion of the Toledo Provincial Council, Fernando Muñoz, has confirmed the mayor of
Ocaña, Eduardo Jiménez, that the provincial institution will continue to finance the lighting renovation from the municipality to LED technology, as well as that of the paving in the streets of the town.
In this way, the municipality will be able to undertake the second phase of the renovation of the lighting, a work that has already been awarded, after the completion of the first phase of renovation, which has covered several streets of the old town and modernized a total of 198 points of light, with a budget subsidized by the Toledo Provincial Councilfrom 148,000 euros.
In the visit made by the vice president to Ocaña, accompanied by the mayor, the first deputy mayor and councilor for Security, Julián Matas, and the second deputy mayor and councilor for Works and Urban Planning, Juan José Rodríguez, also participated.
Fernando Muñoz has conveyed to the municipal officials the commitment of the provincial government with this fundamental municipality for the Mesa de Ocaña, thanks to the investment programs launched by the Government of the
Toledo Provincial Council, translated into provincial plans for works and services, current spending or municipal investment program.
The mayor and his councilors have shown Fernando Muñoz the excellent result of the paving of 10,000 square meters of different streets, a work carried out thanks to the provincial plans program of the Diputación, with an investment of 70,000 euros, subsidized at 90 percent by the provincial government.
And in this line of innovation and progress promoted in our municipalities by the Government of Álvaro Gutiérrez, the first vice president has indicated to the local representatives the will to continue investing in progress and development in Ocaña thanks to the 2021 Municipal Investment Program for paving
The mayor of Ocaña wanted to thank the vice president for the aid received from the Toledo Provincial Council, as has happened with the rest of Toledo’s towns, to face the new needs that have arisen as a result of COVID-19 and face with guarantees the reestablishment of normality after the arrival of the storm “Filomena” and the damage caused in its wake.
He has also mentioned the sensitivity of the Government of the Diputación to improve some of the sports facilities of Ocaña, such as the arrangement of the stands of the football field 7, the installation of a fence in the municipal swimming pool or the replacement of the artificial grass on the track. of paddle tennis, thanks to the investment programs promoted by the Toledo Provincial Council to ensure the sustained growth of our towns.
And he has not forgotten to thank the economic contribution provided by the Toledo Provincial Council to reinforce the cleaning of educational centers due to COVID-19, so that schools continue to be safe for students and teachers, complying with all the requirements to improve hygienic-sanitary conditions in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
