ViacomCBS announced this Thursday that Raffaele Annecchino he has been named President and CEO of ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) effective immediately. He succeeds in office David Lynn, who will leave office after a transition period.
In her new role, Annecchino will oversee the entire ViacomCBS network and its related businesses outside of the U.S. From Madrid, she will be responsible for a portfolio of entertainment brands and television channels on six continents, including, but not limited to, Channel 5 in the UK, Telefe in Argentina, Network 10 in Australia and Colors in India through a joint venture with Viacom18.
Annecchino will work closely with ViacomCBS in the international landing of the Pluto TV platform and the on-demand service of Paramount + in 2021. Will report to Bob Bakish, President and CEO of ViacomCBS.

Along the 23 years In the group, Annecchino has held various positions at ViacomCBS Networks International (formerly Viacom International Media Networks). Among his achievements, he has led the expansion of Pluto TV in Europe with the recent launch in Spain and next year in France and Italy; the launch and acquisition of free tv channels in key markets such as Italy, Spain and Germany; and the creation of a new business unit last September to drive ViacomCBS’s digital business.
Before joining MTV in 1997, Annecchino held positions at Turner International, Cartoon Network, and CNN. He has a degree in Economics from the European Business School, (London) and an Executive MBA from the Instituto de Empresa Internacional (Madrid). He completed the CTAM U Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2016 and the CTAM Europe Executive Management Program at INSEAD in 2017.
