Less than five months after the album was released «Folklore», with whom she has obtained excellent reviews, the singer Taylor Swift announces that he has another new album ready «Evermore», which will be released at midnight this Thursday, December 10.
“Very happy to announce that my ninth studio album, and sister album to” Folklore, “will be out tonight. It is called «Evermore» », the artist has communicated on her social networks, where she suggests that the creative process of the previous album has practically been connected with that of the new one. «To put it plainly, we couldn’t stop writing songs. To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we are standing on the edge of the folk woods and have a choice: turn around and go back or travel further into the woods of this music. We choose to wander into the deep.
Swift confesses that It is something he has “never done before” in his career. “In the past, I’ve always treated albums as unique times and went on to plan the next one after an album was released. There was something different about “Folklore.” In doing so, I felt less like I was leaving and more like I was coming back. I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary / non-imaginary tales. I loved the way they welcomed the dreamscapes, tragedies, and epic stories of lost and found love into their lives. So I kept writing them. And I loved creating these songs with Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff, WB, and Justin Vernon. We have also welcomed some new (and longtime) friends to our musical kitchen table this time.
The singer has confirmed that the publication of the album will go accompanied by the release of the video clip of one of his songs, called “Willow”, and assures that the proximity of Christmas has encouraged him to make this launch. “I know this Christmas season will be lonely for most of us, and if any of you turn to music to deal with the disappearance of loved ones like I do, this is for you.”
The album will have 17 songs and will feature three collaborations: with Haim on “No body, no crime”, with The National on “Coney Island” and repeats with Bon Iver on “Evermore.” The singer has shared the tracklist of the album with this message: “Since I was 13 years old, I have been excited to turn 31 because it is my lucky number backwards, so I wanted to surprise you with this now. You have all been so loving, supportive and attentive on my birthday … so this time I thought I would give you something ».
Ever since I was 13, I’ve been excited about turning 31 because it’s my lucky number backwards, which is why I wanted to surprise you with this now. You’ve all been so caring, supportive and thoughtful on my birthdays and so this time I thought I would give you something! pic.twitter.com/wATiVSTpuV

Taylor Swift has also been in the media spotlight these days because she starred in a most unusual solidarity surprise. Superstar donated $ 13,000 to two mothers who are experiencing financial hardship, and whose stories appeared in a Washington Post article about the millions of Americans who have been made jobless by the pandemic. Swift made the donation through the pages that the women had opened on GoFundMe, and also accompanied it with a message of encouragement for each one. “I read about you in the Washington Post and I thought it was very brave of you to share your story. I’m really sorry for everything you’ve had to go through this year and I wanted to send you this gift, from one Nashville girl to another, ”he told one of them. To the other he wrote, “I am sending you this gift after reading about you in the Washington Post. No one should have to feel the kind of stress they have caused you. I hope you and your beautiful family have a great vacation. “
In an interview for Entertainment Weekly, Swift spoke about the consequences of the pandemic, and also what each citizen can do to stop it. Regarding confinements, he assures: “You hope that people respect them and understand that going out at night is not worth it because of the domino effect it causes.” Y about denialism, points out: «Obviously we are seeing how many people do not open their eyes and are not aware of this serious health crisis, which is really annoying. I mean, you immediately think of healthcare professionals who are risking their lives and often losing them. If you come out of this, if you see the other side, there will be a lot of trauma that will come with it. There will be things you witnessed that you can never stop seeing. In the same interview Swift recalls the bitter conflict with her former manager Scooter Braun, which sold all her masters to an investment group, which has forced her to re-record her first albums to maintain control over her rights. “Although I have not personally experienced the end of a marriage, my fight with him was like a divorce,” says the singer, who also confirmed that the songs “My Tears Ricochet” and “Mad Woman” were inspired by their dispute both with former Big Machine label boss Scott Borchetta, as well as his former manager and music industry hotshot, Scooter Braun. “I was suddenly very inspired by any story, movie, or narrative that revolved around divorce.”
