The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Rosana Rodríguez, and the Councilor for Culture, Teo Garcia, has participated this Tuesday in the inauguration of the exhibition “El Prado in the streets”, an exhibition installed in the Paseo del Miradero, in the open air, in which the visitor will find 50 panels in which the works and details are reproduced pictorial paintings of the most emblematic paintings and creations in the History of Art that the Prado Museum conserves and exhibits in its Madrid headquarters.
This new cultural proposal, as the councilor has explained, is possible for collaboration between institutions such as the Toledo City Council and the Junta Communities of Castilla-La Mancha, as well as the Iberdrola Foundation and his own Prado Museum, that with this initiative seeks to publicize the imposing art collection that treasures within its walls and to collaborate in the informative and didactic work shared by the entities involved in the project.
“This exhibition is a new opportunity to bring culture to the streets, so that culture can be lived by all and be part of our environments,” he commented Teo Garcia, who has shared with those present the activities that the Toledo City Council has carried out in recent months despite the socio-sanitary circumstances. “Making culture the best citizen engagement in this difficult time is one of our objectives and with activities related to our heritage we have achieved it”, he said, without forgetting that this cultural calendar has gone through “adapting and reinventing ourselves with new formats and scenarios ».
