The independence movement gathers 1,200 people in Barcelona to remember the strike of October 3, 2017

The main motto of these protest days has been that of “Let’s fight and win independence.” During today’s march in Barcelona, ​​in which it was also possible to see Jordi Turull, Councilor to the Presidency in 2017, condemned by the Supreme Court and pardoned by the Government, it has been possible to read posters with messages such as’ We demand independence ‘,’ Amnesty. Let’s set ourselves free ‘and’ We’ll finish what we started. ‘

The 3-O strike was strictly independentista to claim the consultation carried out two days before and protest against the police action to comply with the judicial mandate to prevent the holding of the illegal referendum. Sponsored by the Generalitat, it was promoted by the Intersindical union and the CUP, above all, and supported by the autonomous institutional framework.

That 3-O there were cuts in the main highways and highways of Catalonia. The follow-up was, above all, in the public sphere (civil servants, administration, schools …) and there were incidents between citizens who boycotted the right to work and those who wanted to go to their jobs.
