Viña Albali Crianza 2017 has been distinguished in the German Mundus Vini contest, with the title of ‘Best of Show Valdepeñas’ and a gold medal. Another 10 Félix Solís Avantis wines of different DOs and another two for “blend” type wines, Mucho Más and The Guv’nor red, have also been awarded a gold medal.

This contest, one of the most prestigious internationally, carries out a demanding evaluation of more than 4,500 wines from all regions of the world through a panel of tasters made up of oenologists, sommeliers and specialized journalists.

This recognition again endorses the quality and excellent international image of Viña Albali, which continues to be the best-selling Spanish wine brand in the Spanish Food channel and in growing international development. Viña Albali Crianza 2017, specifically, has reaped notable successes this year by being also awarded in other competitions such as Decanter World Wine Awards or the prestigious French guide Gilbert & Gaillard. Its appeal lies in a careful fermentation process, carried out in American oak barrels where the maximum aromatic potential of red fruits, oak and spices is extracted, which leave an intense ruby red color, a pleasant and smooth flavor on the palate.

The Félix Solís Avantis group has received a total of ten gold medals in six of the denominations of origin in which it is present. We highlight, Altos de Tamarón Reserva 2017 and 409 vintage 2019, in the DO Ribera del Duero; Arnegui Gran Reserva 2014 and Castillo de Albai Gran Reserva 2014, in DO Rioja; Sentero Roble 2020, in the DO Toro y Caliza Rosado 2020 of the DO La Mancha.

In addition, the Mucho Más and The Guv’nor red wines have also been recognized with gold medals. These “blend” type wines combine grape varieties from different geographical areas. They are currently triumphing among young audiences in Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands. This “millennial” consumer, who accounts for 42% of wine consumers, represents a great development opportunity and is responding very positively to the innovations of the Félix Solís Avantis group.

Felix Solís Yañez, second generation of the winery family and president of the group, highlights the importance of these international recognitions. «The secret of our wines is to maintain the essence of who we are, because we know that only in this way will we maintain our identity over time and in the quality of our wines. At Félix Solís Avantis we will continue working to offer a good Spanish wine that is nationally and internationally recognized ”, he assured.
