The Ministry of Health reached an agreement with the autonomous communities to establish a series of basic measures that each region will take for Christmas. The vast majority of them accepted them, although the Madrid’s community Y Catalonia they did not vote in favor of these proposals. One of the measures contemplated is the curfew, which according to Health should be between 1.30 am and 6.00 in the morning for December 24 and 31.
This schedule will be observed, except for those who return to their usual address, but “never” to go to other meetings. In this case, most of the communities will adopt the recommendation of Health, although they will always have the last word to delay it. There are still no definitive resolutions, although some have ruled on the matter.
Which communities will adopt other different curfews?
The curfew it will not vary excessively throughout Spain, except in some specific communities. The Minister of Health of Cantabria, Miguel Rodriguez, commented that the measures imposed in the region were not going to be made more flexible, so the curfew from 10pm to 6am was going to be maintained: «Cantabria is committed to prudence and being restrictive because the situation in the community is alert maximum ». This makes it one of the few regions that will not allow leaving the home at dawn, although there is nothing definitive.
The Basque Country may be another of the communities that chooses to shape the curfew. This was confirmed by the Minister of Health, Gotzone Sagardui, which warned that the Health measures were “basic” and that they can “be accommodated.” “It will be from next week, when the LABI meets, when we know what these measures are going to be in the Basque Country and how they will be applied.”
Sagardui revealed that the curfew that can be established in the Basque Country It will be from 1:00 to 6:00, half an hour before the start of the one proposed by Health. For its part, in The Rioja The time for the end of the curfew may also be brought forward, because currently it is held until 5:00 in the morning, one hour before it is marked by Health.
On the other hand, Andalusia, through his Minister of Health and Families, reported that the intention of the region is “to be a little lax with the measures at Christmas,” although what the proposals will be has not yet been debated. After the December bridge what Andalusian autonomy will do will be established. In this case, the time would be from 1.30 a.m. to 7 a.m., an hour later than the rest of the regions usually do.
